DPC announces next photowalk to capture the beautifully lit Rastrapati Bhawan.

The Beating the Retreat Ceremony is held in the capital city of Delhi in India. The Republic Day celebrations in Delhi initiate with a multihued parade on the 26th of January along the Rajpath. The parade comes to a close with the ‘Beating the Retreat Ceremony’, which happens on the 29th of January. The location of the Beating the Retreat Ceremony in Delhi is at Vijay Chowk or the victory square, with the stately Rashtrapati Bhawan at the background.

Introduction to studio lighting and Fashion Workshop

In this two day workshop on studio lighting we will cover six different types of lighting.

Hi-key and Low Key lighting
Split lighting
loop , Rembrandt and butterfly
3-point lighting
It will also be covering inverse square law of lighting
Product , Food, portrait and Fashion.

First day will be theory followed by hands on practical.

Beginning of the practical will be introduction to studio: Do and Don’ts in studio, features of studio light, maintaining a studio, taking care of studio equipment, Knowing the light stands, soft box.

Key Features of the workshop:
As it will be a detailed workshop on studio lighting, It will mainly emphasize on portraits as one can deeply understand lighting on human figure. But as the workshop contains different types of lighting and it will be the base of all kinds of lighting, so one light any kind of products, food, portrait or fashion after this workshop.

Requirements
All DPC workshops require you to have loads of enthusiasm.You can have a DSLR and you know how to use your camera features

About Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is a former medieval trading center and princely state in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, in the heart of the Thar Desert. Known as the “Golden City,” it’s distinguished by its yellow sandstone architecture. Dominating the skyline is Jaisalmer Fort, a sprawling hilltop citadel buttressed by 99 bastions. Behind its massive walls stand the ornate Maharaja’s Palace and intricately carved Jain temples.

The trip

DPC announces one more exciting trip to Jaiselmer .This trip will be a 3 day 4 night photo capture trip. We will be going by road in a tempo traveller .

Day 1

23th Feb, Friday- leave from IIT Delhi, main gate at: 9.00 pm (pls be there 20 mins prior to departure)

Day 1 – 24th Feb, Friday

Reach Jaiselmer by 11.00 am after capturing sunrise from the dunes. Post lunch we will go to Gharisar Lake and evening as usual we will be covering the fort from distance so that we may get the complete fort.

Day 2 – 25st Feb, Saturday
Visiting the village Kuldhara and evening sunset at Sam Sandunes 

 Day 3 – 26nd Feb, Sunday
Local Jaiselmer with few famous havalies and fort.

 By 5.00 pm: Start back for Delhi and reaching delhi on 27th morning 

Other Important Details: 


1. Stay: will be on sharing basis at a comfortable guest house..
2. Mode of travel: We will be travelling in an AC TEMPO traveller together.
3. Gear: Jaiselmer offers some breathtaking shots. Hence wide angle and zoom lens are advised with camera covers because of desert festival Celebrations.
Please wear comfortable clothes according to the weather, comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking, take your hats/caps, shades and sunscreen.
4. Meal: Simple vegetarian meals will be provided by the club.
The group will follow the itinerary mentioned above, however if one wants to visit places at one owns will, can visit accordingly on their own.
Fee: Rs. 10500 per person, DPC members: Rs. 9800 per person.

The cost includes stay, travel and food. Does not include tickets for camera and equipment if any. 

Anything taken in room service at guest house will be paid individuals.

Winter Photography Trip to Ladakh

DPC announces one of the most awaited Photo trips of the year : Winter Photo Trip to Ladakh

In the month of Febuary we are once again going to Leh, this time to capture the Most beautiful monstries , landscapes and people and if conditions will help we will go for Snow Leopard as well.

During this season, as you know very well that Februarury is one of the coldest month of the year, the temp. dips up to -15 to -20 degree celcius at night , day is OK, so you should come with well equipped along with warm clothes like jacket, inner thermal, sweater, caps, woolen socks, good shoe , gloves etc.

You have to also understand and cooperate with the situation during stay at the hotel, as we will not get lavish treatment as compared to summer .

Details: 8 days trip (4th Feb to 12th Feb)
We will be covering Pangong Too, Changla Pass, Khardungla Pass , Nubra Valley and we will be staying at Let only.

Other Important Details

Stay: will be on twin or triple sharing basis in Siala Guest House, a cozy and comfortable home stay environment.

Mode of travel: We will be travelling in an TEMPO traveller or Xylo or innova in and around LEH together.

Gear: You can carry tripods and wide angle lenses for cameras. Any camera is good for this trip so long as it digital. For yourself, please carry wollen cloths , comfortable shoes, take hats/caps, shades and sunscreen!

Fee (per person): 28000 (including registration fee)

For Members: 25000

Fee includes Local travel & group transfers, stay and meals
Cost does not include cost of Flight from Delhi to Leh and Back.

Additional Cost : Snow Leopard tracking (depends upon season and availability)
